Rachel and Drew’s wedding was, hands down, one of my favorites of all time. The entire planning process was fun, the day was perfect, the vendors were the best - it was everything I would ask for in a couple and a wedding.
When Rachel came to us, she wasn’t sure if we were the best fit for her, but wanted to talk. I knew from the FIRST meeting that she WAS an OAK bride and we were going to make things work. From that day on, we spoke often, each conversation being laidback and joyful. She loves Drew SO MUCH and loves the Lord and knew all things were going to work out for her and for them.
She had selected the Chapel at Livingston as her ceremony spot, and Bridlewood of Madison as her reception venue. Both venues are beautiful with the best staffs. She had already selected Lindsay Vallas Ott as her photographer (one of our favorites, for sure), and she captured the day perfectly, highlighting all of the little details we decided to add in.
Two days before her wedding, Rachel was in a wreck - one that totaled her car. But, God protected this bride and she walked away unharmed. Even through that, she never lost her composure, kept her joy and never, ever seemed stressed.
Rachel told us in the beginning that the food and the food displays were important to her. So, we put our minds together to think of creative ways to display her food options and keep it all flowing with a vintage vibe. We selected beautiful linens from BBJ Linen to highlight her color selection and found vintage books, vintage jars and vintage china from antique stores throughout Mississippi to make sure the reception was EXTRA special. AND. . .on top of it all, we had a special guest at the reception - all planned by her dad - adding to the fun!
I could seriously talk about this wedding experience for days. It was a fun one to plan, a fun one to direct - just a fun one to be a part of. Instead of talking, I’ll let the photos speak for themselves. Check out this gallery full of pics from Rachel and Drew’s day!
